Ingredients
- 12–16 frozen wontons (pork, chicken, shrimp, or vegetarian)
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 cup leafy greens (bok choy, spinach, or napa cabbage)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a medium pot, heat 1 tsp of sesame oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the broth and bring to a gentle boil.
Add the frozen wontons directly into the boiling broth. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Cook for 5–7 minutes or until the wontons float to the top and are fully cooked.
Reduce heat to a simmer and add soy sauce, leafy greens, and any additional ingredients you desire. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the greens are wilted.
Ladle the soup into bowls, garnish with green onions, chili oil, or fresh herbs, and enjoy!
